A game for 2 players

This game gives practise of reading and comparing large numbers.

You will need:

Lollipop sticks, each with a number written on. Ideally, the digits should align when the sticks are placed beneath each other.

An envelope large enough to hold 10 sticks

How to play

Place the sticks inside the envelope with just the first chunk of the number showing (as in the image below).

Players each pick a stick to pull from the envelope, then compare their numbers. The player who has pulled out the larger number keeps both sticks. Alternate who goes first each turn.

The winner is the person with the most sticks when the envelope is empty.

Variations

This game can be played with numbers written on card strips instead of lollipop sticks.
