Place value grids

Place value grids can be used alongside digit cards and manipulatives such as Dienes or coins to reinforce the value of each digit in a number. They are also useful to support multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000.

My place value grids highlight the threefold nature of place value, which can be particularly helpful when working with larger numbers, as they show the repeating pattern of ones, tens and hundreds. My Build-it place value grid requires a learner to correctly place the headings, providing even more reinforcement of this concept.

My decimal place value grids highlight the symmetrical nature of the headings on either side of the ones column.
